The 2025 Silverado EV and the 2025 Silverado 1500 are two of the most popular trucks at our Chevy dealership in La Vernia, TX. If you’re not sure whether to go all electric or stick to traditional power, this guide can help you make up your mind.

2025 Chevy Silverado 1500

Power and Performance

Offered exclusively in four-wheel drive, the Silverado EV is a versatile truck for daily hauling and off-roading. Its base powertrain configuration generates up to 645 horsepower with the Wide Open Watts engaged and 765 lb-ft of torque, which is plenty of power for a best-in-lineup towing capacity of 12,500 lbs and up to 1,800 lbs of payload capacity.

The Silverado 1500 comes standard with a TurboMax engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This system produces 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, which is enough power for a payload capacity of up to 2,260 lbs with the standard rear-wheel drivetrain, depending on the cab and bed configuration. Other engine options offer more power for a towing capacity of up to 13,300 lbs, depending on the powertrain and configuration.

Configurations and Utility

The Silverado EV is offered exclusively in crew cab style with a 5’11” bed and a MultiFlex tailgate that allows you to accommodate various types of cargo. With the available MultiFlex midgate, you can even expand the bed inside the cabin and transport long items, including lumber or a 10-foot couch. The Silverado 1500 is available in three cab types and three bed lengths, so you can easily customize this truck to suit your cargo-carrying or comfort needs. The bed is made of roll-formed high-strength steel and has an EZ Lift tailgate on select trims, while a corner step into the rear bumper provides easier bed access.
